Tom Cruise is doing another tour on movie theatres with Jack Reacher: Never Go Back. He will return to the big screen with The Mummy and American Made, a drama thriller in 2017 while also featuring once again as Ethan Hunt in Mission: Impossible 6.
There are also movies like Top Gun 2 and Edge of Tomorrow 2 as sequels that Tom Cruise will star in. The porject after that will probably be Methuselah, a Biblical story about the life of an eponymous character who lived 1000 years. David Heyman will produce the movie while Warner Bros will be distributing it.
As for the next important news regarding Methuselah, the director’s seat has just been filled. Joachim Rønning, one of the directors of Oscar-nominated drama movie Kon-Tiki will be directing the movie. He has also directed the first two episodes of Marco Polo, by Netflix so he has some experience about bringing historical stories to life. Zach Dean (Deadfall) has already prepared a script for the movie but Warner Bros and Heyman might be looking for an A-list screenwriter to rewrite that script to convince Cruise to commit to the movie.
