Riverdale is another one of Greg Berlanti show that is adapted from a comic book, however, it is seperated from The Flash, Supergirl, Arrow and Legends of Tomorrow. The show is based on the comics about Archie Andrews (KJ Apa) and it is a teen drama.
Lately some set photos and lead actor photos were released and it seems like production is going on at full speed. We just got word that another famous actor from 1990s joined the cast.
Skeet Ulrich (Scream, Jericho) joined the cast of Riverdale as the leader of the Southside Serpents a local gang.
Berlanti has been really providing more than decent DC Comics TV shows for The CW and Riverdale seems like it will be the next one. We are going to have to wait and see what the already existinf fan base of the comics will think about the show as it will be a remake that is based on a story that differs a bit from the story in comics.
Riverdale is expected to premiere in the mid-season of 2016-2017.
