There’s no arguing that Scream Queens is a hit. This latest Ryan Murphy project mixing dark comedy with gore and horror will be returning to its network this fall. As you might know, the series focuses on some teenagers solving crimes (Chanels) who solved the mystery of the murders commited in their sorority. Season 2 will be featuring the Chanels in a psyhiatric hospital bought by Dean Munsch.
The series cast John Stamos and another casting news came recently. Comedy actress Kirstie Alley (cheers) also joined the cast. She will be playing the role of the hospital’s administrator.
The actress will be joining Taylor Lautner (Twilight), Colton Haynes (Arrow) and series regulars Emma Roberts, Abigail Breslin, Billie Lourd and Jamie Lee Curtis. As you know, famous faces show up in the series from time to lime like Ariana Grande and Nick Jonas did last season. EW made a report on Alley’s character:
“Alley will play the ‘brilliant and devious administrator’ of the C.U.R.E. Institute, ‘where some of the most fascinating and bizarre medical cases are under observation.’Fox’s press releases declares that Alley is ‘one of the great actresses of her generation, proving time and again that she is capable of great depth and range, as well as possessing a comedic timing second to none.’”
