The Magnificent Seven is doing well at the box office which lets director Antoine Fuqua to concentrate on his Scarface remake project in a better way. The remake will be focusing on the life of a Mexican immigrant living in Los Angeles.
Although there is no casting news about the remake, the script writer was just assigned. Fans will like what they hear now because this writer does a good job when it comes to gangster movies.
According to the report by Variety, Terence Winter, the creator of Boardwalk Empire (who also worked on The Sopranos) was hired to work with the script draft for new Scarface movie. As you might already know, Winter was just nominated for Oscar for Best Adapted Screenplay for The Wolf of Wall Street. The original writer of the script, Jonathan Herman was also nominated for an Oscar for Straight Outta Compton screenplay.
