The Scandal’s star Kerry Washington is developing a new TV show for ABC according to Variety. The series to be titled Patrol will focus on four female LAPD officers who have attented the police academy together and got to reconnect when some traumatic secret from their past comes back to haunt them. Kerry Washington is going to be the executive producer of the show.
As you may already know Washington has done this kind of behind-the-scenes work before. Recently she acted as the executive-producer of Confirmation a movie on HBO in which she starred as Anita Hill with her production company Simpson Street, the same company to produce Patrol. Confirmation got Washington an Emmy nomination while the movie itself got a nomination for Outstanding Television Movie.
Washington will also be coming back to Scandal as Olivia Pope. Scandal was pushed to start in midseason to due her real-life pregnancy which shortened the episode number of season 6 to 16 from the usual 22 episodes. Follow us on social media to get more daily updates about your favorite TV shows!
