The collaboration between Marvel and Netflix really took off since the two giants released their first TV series, Daredevil 2 years ago. With Jessica Jones and Luke Cage doing just as well and Iron Fist to be released in March 2017, we can pretty much say that things will only go better from here on.
The biggest event for Marvel and Netflix collaboration, however, is another TV series, a team-up between all our four heroes for an 8-episode run.
There are not many news regarding the series, which will start filming early November, except the ones related to casting. Sigourney Weaver just joined the cast as the villain of the storyline and Elden Henson playing Foggy Nelson, Eka Darville playing Malcolm, Simone Missick playing Misty Knight and Rosario Dawson playing Claire Temple will all return to their roles for the team-up series. There is more news about casting now.
The Defenders Twitter account just announced that Deborah Ann Woll will also be returning to her role as Karen Page in the mini-series. As you might alredy know, she is now filming The Punisher with Jon Bernthal. Here’s the twit with the video announcing her return.
