Turning video games into movies was never done with much success, however, studios do not give up on that yet and it is only a matter of time they will succeed considering improving CGI work which comes at cheaper costs by the day. This year the story of World of Warcraft was adapted to the big screen and Warcraft movie was released in the summer. It was not successfull at the box office and did not get many good reviews. Another one on the way is Assassin’s Creed starring Michael Fassbender and the fans of the game are hopeful about it.
Tomb Raider starring Alicia Vikander The Division starring Jake Gyllenhaal and Jessica Chastain are the other video game movies that are on the line. There are some other games that could be adapted and that includes Gears of War .
The Coalition Studio president Rod Fergusson just announced that a Gears of War movie is being developed and it will be done in cooperation with Universal. Scott Stuber and Dylan Clark will be producers but no news about the cast yet. Fingers crossed for Gears of War movie, it will be packed of action no doubt!
