There is no arguing about the scale and extent that Game of Thrones reached during its course of 6 season on HBO. The show based on George R. R. Martin‘s A Song of Ice and Fire series is reported to go really dark in season 7 before things get better in season 8.
As you may well know, showrunners David Benioff and D.B.Weiss already moved past the printed material and this put pressure on Martin, who already postponed the release date of the next and sixth book in the series, the Winds of Winter.
Martin always stated that any news regarding his books’ release dates would be given on his own blog, however, this was not something that could stop the crazy fans from spreading rumors they have been hearing.
When Amazon France put March 2017 as the publication date for The Winds of Winter, Random House, George R.R. Martin’s publisher had to deny the date. The official statement made to EW is as follows:
“As his publisher, we support George R. R. Martin as he works hard to finish The Winds of Winter. Any on-sale dates currently listed online for the novel are incorrect. Once we have a publication date for The Winds of Winter, the world will know.”
At this point, there is nothing to do other than wishing Martin to publish the book as soon as possible. If you’d like us to keep you updated on the whole debacle, follow us on social media!
