According to TVGuide, The CW is working on a Dynasty remake. “What is Dynasty?” you may ask. Dynasty is a soapy drama from the 80s.
Josh Scwartz (O.C) and Stephanie Savage will be devloping the series. These two worked together on Gossip Girl before. Original Dynasty creators Richard and Esther Shapiro will be working with them while Sallie Patrick (Revenge) will also be joining the creative team.
The feud between the Carringtons and the Colbys will be told in a modern way from the perspective of Fallon Carrington (billionaire Blake Carrington’s daughter) and Cristal, her future stepmother.
The original TV series aired between the years of 1981 and 1989 as a rival of CBS’ Dallas during those years. Eight seasons is not something that could be done even with today’s modern technology and conditions. It will surely be an interesting thing to watch.
