As you well know, Thomas Gibson (starrring as Aaron Hotchner) was fired from Criminal Minds earlier this month after allegedly kicking writer/producer Virgil Williams because they had creative differences about an episode Gibson himself was directing. Gibson’s punishment which was supposed to be a two episode suspension turned into a lay off later. The actor was with the show since its first season that started in 2005.
Although we do not believe Aaron Hotchner’s shoes are easy to fill, here is some good news for the fans of Criminal Minds. CBS is looking to cast some new members for its longest-running drama one of whom will supposedly replace Thomas Gibson’s character. In addition to that, CBS will add another character which remains a mystery until now.
Criminal Minds is in some serious transformation in terms of its cast as another original cast member Shemar Moore also left the show last season. The show will have a new character to be played by Adam Rodriguez while Paget Brewster will also return in the 12th season.
