Since CBS announced a reboot for the Star Trek franchise, the fans of the TV series and/or movies were quite anxious about how it is going to happen. Later, news broke out stating that Bryan Fuller will be the showrunner which, of course, eased the doubts in fans’ minds. After all, he was a writer in Star Trek: Voyager and he was also a fan of the franchise.
Now, bad news for the fans as Fuller just stated that he gave up his role as the showrunner of Star Trek: Discovery. It turns out Fuller will be really busy with American Gods (to be aired on Starz) and Amazing Stories (to be aired on NBC) and Discovery’s filming cannot be pushed for more delay by CBS.
That being said, Fuller will stay act as an executive producer for the series and CBS actually loved the first two scripts written by Fuller. To get the latest news on Star Trek: Discovery and all your favorite TV series and movies, follow us on our social media accounts!
