It is time we said our goodbyes to the Rayburns. It turns out Netflix canceled Bloodline.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the 10-episode third season of Bloodline will be the last season fo the drama which was renewed by Netflix in July.
If you are a fan, you might know that Bloodline’s creators Todd A. Kessler, Glenn Kessler and Daniel Zelman previously stated that they planned a five or six season run for Bloodline. However, Kyle Chandler’s show might have been too expensive to produce especially now with Florida cutting its entertainment tax incentives program.
Todd A. Kessler told THR in June: “Netflix is evaluating how it’s doing for them and how it’s performing, and are very hopeful that there will be a future as are we. We decided to set the show [in Florida] … because it’s crucial to what the show is, not because of the tax incentive, but it does affect things financially for us and the show will be challenged because of that. It makes things more difficult.”
This will be only the third time Netflix will be pulling the plug on an on-going series, the first two were Lilyhammer and Hemlock Grove, both lasted three seasons.
