Archer has been a lot of fun for the viewers for the last 7 years now. It has been a great success for the FX network and even got an Emmy for outstanding animated program.
Archer’s characters had to change skin many time. One day they were a spy agency they became a drug cartel, then a part of CIA and a private investigations company. The show evolved a lot thatnks to its great creative writing. However, this diversity could not make its end inevitable.
Writer Adam Reed stated that he planned to end the series with season 10 during an interview he gave recently. FX had had renewed the series for three more seasons at the beginning of this year. Reed said the last three seasons will also be shorter – they will all be comprised of 8 episodes. Here’s his statement about the show:
“The plan is to end Archer after season 10. I don’t know anybody that has talked about that, but that is my plan to do 8, 9, and 10 — and they’re each going to be shorter seasons of just eight episodes — and then wind it up.”
